Skills International
Skills International is an efficient and cost-effective online tool designed to meet the recruitment needs of employers. Employers can access the country’s largest inventory of pre-screened internationally trained individuals seeking employment. Registration and full access is free for all employers.
Skills International is unique in that it is much more than an online resume database. All candidates profiled on the website are “job ready” in that they have been pre-screened by an employment counsellor at a community-based partner agency, have completed an employment preparation program for skilled immigrants and possess minimum benchmark language skills to perform effectively in the workplace.
Registered employers can access a complete picture of candidates skills and qualifications through the website to facilitate informed employment decisions. In addition to posting the traditional resume, candidates are encouraged to post copies of degrees, certificates and letters of recommendation. Employers may also choose to contact the candidate’s employment counsellor directly to obtain further information.
