The WIL Award: Recognizing Winning Innovation and Leadership
This award is available to nominees from WIL staff, clients, board members and also community partners. Nominees should exemplify the ideals of Winning, Innovation and Leadership as related to the clients served by WIL Employment Connections.
WIL Employment Connections:
WIL Employment Connections is a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the economic and social integration of immigrant women and men and Canadian women and men into the broader community of London and area. To this end, WIL provides services in assessment, employment counselling , employment preparation, information, referral and advocacy.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the WIL Award Selection Committee no later than 12:00 p.m. on April 17, 2014 by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. All nominations will be reviewed by the WIL Award Selection Committee.
The selected nominee will be notified by the Selection Committee Chair and be invited to attend WIL’s Annual General Meeting on June 19, 2014 to receive the award.
The nominee will have demonstrated a significant contribution to the WIL client group through the following:
Winning (by helping others to make their way, by successful efforts, by assisting others to reach their goals). The nominee demonstrates a winning attitude, has a willingness to help others, and promotes client success by their efforts.
Innovation (in delivery, in partnerships, in services) The nominee, through ideas and actions, has significantly contributed to furthering the goals of WIL. The nominee has identified new ways to serve clients, support the organization’s mandate, develop new partnerships and enhance existing services.
Leadership (through vision, direction and collaboration) The nominee has enhanced the services for WIL’s clients through inspired leadership. The nominee has given leadership to the organization, staff, board members, community partners and clients through vision both locally and globally, through collaboration with existing and new partners in an effort to continually move the organization in a forward, positive and futuristic direction.
The WIL Award
This award is given out annually at the WIL Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The award is a monetary award of $500.00 to be donated to a charity chosen by the successful nominee. There is a permanent award displayed within the physical plant of WIL and the nominee receives a token of appreciation presented at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
