Job Posting: Sales and Marketing Advisor Counselling for Alternative Employment Pathways

A partnership project of WIL Employment Connections, the Access Centre for Regulated Employment provides customized licensure and career development assistance, employment information and referral services to internationally trained professionals seeking licensure or trade certification in one of the provinces regulated professions or trades. We are currently inviting applications for a full time Sales and Marketing Advisor for the Counselling for Alternative Employment Pathways (CAEP)

Reporting to the CAEP Team Leader, the Sales and Marketing Advisor is responsible for connecting internationally trained professionals to employment in alternative positions that are commensurate with an individual’s skills, training and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become a labour market generalist with sufficient knowledge/experience to assist CAEP clients in securing employment across a variety of occupations and employment sectors
  • Record, track and follow-up on all clients and employment outcomes within a case management software platform
  • Be responsible for developing comprehensive knowledge of CAEP clients; their education, skills, experience and alternative employment goals
  • Collaborate with clients to fulfil personalized alternative employment Pathway Maps identifying realistic and viable employment options
  • Meet directly with local employers to determine their recruitment/hiring needs
  • Match the hiring needs of local employers and the employment goals of CAEP clients
  • Support employers in their hiring choice(s) through on-going customer service
  • Build rapport and develop client-advisor relationship with professional immigrant job seekers
  • Develop a comprehensive inventory of education, skills, experience and alternative employment options for professional immigrant job seekers
  • Provide thorough case management for internationally trained individuals seeking licensure/certification and professional employment in Ontario
  • Maintenance of records, delivery of contracted reports and timely follow-ups with all clients
  • Set and achieve targets
  • Outreach presentation and group work
  • Team collaboration and committee participation
  • Participate in CAEP outreach events and activities

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Sales and Marketing diploma or in house training certificate
  • 2 years direct sales (or related) experience in the service sector with a proven track record in setting goals and achieving objectives
  • Knowledge of the employment and training sector for the London and area labour market
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and technical ability
  • Self-starter with excellent organization, planning and time management skills
  • Proficient in the use of databases, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of client information at all times
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s regulatory and trade certification processes
  • Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment
  • Knowledge and experience with various social media platforms
  • Demonstrated time management and data management skills
  • Must have the use of a car and willingness to travel across southwestern Ontario with a focus on London region (Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford)
