Immigrants and Newcomers
WIL offers a full range of employment programs and services specifically tailored to meet the needs of immigrants and newcomers.
Every client receives support and assistance from their own Employment Counsellor to ensure individual needs and challenges are both identified and met. Our Employment Counsellors work with clients to develop a personal Employment Action Plan to achieve individual employment and career goals.
Some of WIL's most popular programs for immigrants and newcomers include our Employment Preparation Programs, Volunteer Work Placements and the Mentorship for Newcomer Success Program. WIL also provides referrals to the Access Centre for Regulated Employment which provides information and licensure application assistance for newcomers seeking careers in Ontario's 35 regulated professions.
Graduates of our Employment Preparation programs are also registered with Skills International - the only website of its kind that matches pre-screened internationally trained individuals with employers seeking their skills.
If you are currently unemployed and seeking work, there is no fee to access our programs and services.
