Support through Family Job Loss

Job loss causes life changes and transitions, which can mean many new challenges, but you and your family don’t have to face it all alone.  Loss of income is only one of the many issues that job loss creates for all family members.

Each person in the family will react differently to the job loss, and will need different supports. The Transitions Project offers programs that can help you and your family get through this difficult time.  All individuals/families in the City of London and Middlesex County (and those wanting to support those impacted) are invited to participate in a peer supported drop-in group.

Through Peer Supported Drop-in Groups, families and individuals:

  • Can meet others who are coping with the impact of job loss
  • Have a place to talk about day to day challenges with others going through similar issues
  • Share experiences and learn ways to deal with stress and other issues related to job loss
  • Gain new information and help with connecting to other community supports and services

Peer supported drop-in groups meet on a weekly basis at various locations across London and Middlesex County. Click here to find a group.

There is no cost to participate and registration is not required.

Everyone is welcome! Just drop in!

The Transitions Project is hosted by Family Service Thames Valley through generous funding provided by United Way London & Middlesex.
